Big Horn Health Service’s (BHS) Physiotherapist collaborates with the BHS multidisciplinary team to provide culturally-sensitive assessment, consultation, education and direct treatment to Big Horn community members living with pain, movement difficulties and disabilities.

Services Provided:

• Individualized physiotherapy assessments, advisory services, treatment plans, direct services and exercise programs
• Assessment and treatment of injuries and chronic pain

Exercise Programs:

1. To support injury prevention, recovery from injuries and chronic pain management
2. To support rehabilitation following discharge from hospital and/or surgery
3. To enhance wellbeing in the elderly
4. To help expectant mothers with pregnancy-related discomfort
5. To help women manage pelvic floor dysfunction (incontinence, pelvic pain)
6. Supplementary therapy to help manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart conditions, arthritis etc.
7. Community based exercise programs to encourage healthy movement and fitness
